The Skinner Brothers
Built in the UK around Soul Boy, who settled in London after leaving his original environment, The Skinner Brothers have developed outside the conventional circuits of the music industry. The project took shape on the British indie scene with a direct, tense and melodic rock that combines the energy of English indie rock, a punkish nervousness and choruses crafted for live performance. Early on, The Skinner Brothers gained initial exposure, notably opening for Kasabian, before continuing on their path without a label or real industry backing. This independent trajectory has become central to the band's identity; led by Soul Boy, they prioritize songwriting, autonomy and a direct relationship with their audience. Over the course of concerts, The Skinner Brothers have gathered a diverse audience, far from the closed codes of the traditional rock scene. Their sound remains tied to an urban, raw and immediately readable aesthetic, between guitar-driven songs, rhythmic tension and a collective spirit.
