MistaJam
Under the name MistaJam, Peter Dalton has built a career from Nottingham at the intersection of DJing, radio and production, blending electronic music, house, bass music and British urban influences. Active on the local scene from an early age, MistaJam began mixing as a teenager, spent time on a pirate radio station and worked with the hip‑hop crew Out Da Ville before expanding his audience nationally. Between 2005 and 2020 he held a long‑running presence on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra, where his shows circulated club sounds as well as R&B, grime, hip‑hop and dance aesthetics, maintaining an editorial line open to both mainstream and specialist scenes. Alongside his presenting work, MistaJam has continued as a DJ and producer, releasing dance‑oriented tracks such as "Rotate" (2018), "Trust You" (2019), "Ultimatum" (2020) and "Make You Better" (2021). His name also appears with Knife Party on "Sleaze" (2012) and later with David Guetta and John Newman on "If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)" (2021). Since 2020 MistaJam has continued this trajectory on Capital Dance, in a format still focused on club cultures and the intersections between electronic music and pop.
