Jack Botts

Hailing from Australia’s east coast, Jack Botts crafts folk‑and‑acoustic songwriting shaped by indie pop and a surf aesthetic rooted in the beach culture of his youth. From the late 2010s he increased the number of intimate shows, small‑venue dates and long tours—first across Australia, then throughout Europe and North America—building a career founded on travel and close contact with audiences. His music relies on a prominent acoustic guitar, melancholic yet accessible melodies, and a gentle voice that carries lyrics about the road, relationships, changes of course and a life largely spent near the ocean. After several EPs that gradually established his folk world, Jack Botts released the album Sucker For Sunsets in 2023, a distillation of his writing focused on movement and coastal landscapes. On stage he mainly performs solo or with a tight-knit band, a setup that preserves the stripped‑down nature of his songs while broadening them into a fuller folk‑pop sound, regularly appearing on independent circuits and at mid‑sized festivals.
