Yin Yin

Formed around the duo Kees Berkers and Yves Lennertz, and soon joined on stage by other musicians, YĪN YĪN first drew attention with recordings made outside traditional studios, before circulating through the network of European clubs and festivals associated with psychedelic, global groove and hybrid music scenes. Their first album, The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers, released in 2019 on the Swiss label Bongo Joe, laid the foundations for a danceable sound built on repetitive bass lines, melodic guitars and motifs borrowed from Thai pop. With The Age of Aquarius in 2022, issued by Glitterbeat, YĪN YĪN intensified the focus on keyboards and synthetic textures while keeping a collective approach centered on live performance and the stretching of forms close to trance.
