Mind Vortex

Active on the British drum & bass scene, Mind Vortex developed as a dancefloor-oriented duo discovered in the early 2010s by London label RAM Records. Working within an energetic drum & bass tradition, Mind Vortex favors fast tempos, strongly defined rhythms and massive basslines, often counterbalanced by clear melodies and guest vocals that sometimes bring the project closer to an EDM aesthetic. The duo’s early releases on RAM, through a series of singles and EPs, gradually positioned Mind Vortex in a register where club effectiveness remained central, while retaining fairly detailed track constructions and frequent drops and breaks. The two producers then multiplied vocal collaborations within the label’s catalogue, honed a sound geared toward large sound systems and appeared on drum & bass compilations with international reach. Present at specialized nights and within the DJ networks associated with RAM Records, Mind Vortex has established a lasting presence in the English drum & bass landscape, with activity mainly focused on digital releases and the club scene.
