Corine

Emerging on the French scene in the mid-2010s, Corine has developed a French-language pop project drawing on disco, synth-pop and the variety styles of the 1970s and 1980s, marked by deliberately straightforward lyrics and a taste for simple melodies, danceable choruses and retro arrangements. From her earliest tracks she established a clearly defined persona—part humor, part offbeat irony and part popular-culture codes—which she consolidated with the 2016 album Fille de ta région. Over subsequent releases she has steered that disco-pop base toward a broader, more club-oriented production while retaining an accessible song-centered format. Un air de fête, released in 2020, continues this trajectory with songs designed as much for the stage as for the dancefloor. Active in pop and electronic circuits, Corine moves between venues, festivals and DJ sets in a continuity where image, performance and music advance together. She thus occupies a singular place in recent French pop, at the junction of chanson, vintage aesthetics and a nightlife culture treated in a light, stylized manner.
