Charlotte Fever
Formed in 2018, Charlotte Fever brings together Cassandra Hettinger, from Chartres, and Alexandre Mielczarek, from Versailles—two musicians who passed through Paris and first collaborated in The Sandcherries before developing this joint project. Charlotte Fever operates within a French electro-pop vein tinged with synth-pop and variété, with a pronounced taste for melodies in French, supple electronic arrangements and atmospheres that blend sensuality, tongue-in-cheek irony and nods to the 1980s. After a first two-track release, Canicule, in 2018, the duo published the EP Charlotte Fever the same year, then Erotico in 2021. Along their trajectory, Charlotte Fever has appeared on stages linked to the new French pop scene, performed notably at the 36h Saint-Eustache festival in Paris, toured South Korea in 2019, and later several Central American countries with the Alliances Françaises network. The duo also collaborated with L’Impératrice on the track Geisha as part of Récréations Sonores. In 2021, the song JTM, from the EP Erotico, was included in the soundtrack of the second season of the series Emily in Paris. Charlotte Fever thus develops a duo format in which writing and vocals are built together, in francophone electronic pop that is both direct and stylized.
