Tyler Shaw

Born in 1993 in Richmond, British Columbia, Tyler Shaw is part of the Canadian pop scene with a repertoire focused on singer‑songwriter material, ranging from contemporary ballads to more radio‑friendly uptempo tracks. Discovered in 2012 through the Coca‑Cola Covers contest organized by MuchMusic, he went on to sign with a major label and launch a career built on melodic, straightforward songwriting. His debut album, Yesterday (2015), established a pop aesthetic with acoustic touches; in 2018, Intuition extended this approach with stronger R&B influences and a more electronic production. With Tyler Shaw (2021), the artist consolidated a move toward mainstream pop, followed the same year by A Tyler Shaw Christmas, a seasonal project that revisits the Christmas album format in a pop‑vocal setting.
