Technimatic

Behind Technimatic are British producers Peter Rogers and Andy Powell, who have worked together since the late 2000s and initially recorded under the name Technicolour & Komatic. Their first single, “Preacher,” was released in 2009 on Worldwide Audio, before the project adopted the name Technimatic and became a staple of the UK drum and bass scene. Their sound leans toward liquid drum and bass, featuring crisp rhythms, atmospheric pads, prominent melodies, and songwriting that alternates between club-focused effectiveness and more contemplative formats. After releases on labels such as Critical, Hospital, Spearhead and Good Looking Records, and an official remix for LTJ Bukem, Technimatic joined the Shogun Audio circle via SGN:LTD in 2012, with the EP “Intersection” marking an important step. They went on to release the albums Desire Paths (2014) and Better Perspective (2016), while maintaining a steady schedule of DJ sets and remixes. In 2021 the duo launched their own label, Technimatic Music.
