Suspekt
Formed in Albertslund, the western suburb of Copenhagen, Suspekt brings together Bai-D, Orgi-E and producer Rune Rask around a direct Danish rap, marked by hardcore hip-hop and horrorcore accents. Active since the late 1990s, the group first established itself in the underground with the album Suspekt in 1999, before consolidating its identity on Ingen Slukker The Stars in 2003, released via their Tabu Records label. Suspekt then develops a raw, often provocative writing style, backed by dense and dark productions, with a chorus sense that gradually broadens its audience without changing the underlying tone. This trajectory continues with Prima Nocte in 2007, then Elektra in 2011, where the group introduces a broader palette, sometimes orchestral, while remaining rooted in a massive and direct rap. V in 2014, 100% Jesus in 2017, Sindssyge ting in 2020 and Ancient Aliens in 2023 show continuity in sound as in themes, between hedonism, social satire and a look at their environment. In parallel, Suspekt has performed on major Danish stages, notably Roskilde, Smukfest, NorthSide and Tinderbox, and its members have also worked in other contexts, from Tabu Records to the Selvmord project with L.O.C. and Jonas Vestergaard.
