Ankerstjerne

Ankerstjerne is a Danish singer-songwriter, singer, rapper and producer who first came to attention under the pseudonym Jinks with the single “One Night” in 2007, from the soundtrack of the film Rich Kids, before permanently adopting the name Ankerstjerne in the early 2010s. His music moves between Danish pop, melodic rap and R&B, with lyrics focused on personal narratives and relationships. In 2011 the release of the song “Tag hvad du vil” with Burhan G paved the way for the album “Ankerstjerne” (2011), followed by “For os” in 2015 and the EP “Rapper” in 2016, which established him in the Danish urban pop landscape. Alongside his solo career, Ankerstjerne has maintained an active role as a lyricist and composer for other artists, notably Burhan G and Rasmus Seebach, writing tracks such as “Øde Ø”, “I Mine Øjne”, “Olivia”, “Din For Evigt”, “Kalder Mig Hjem” and “Karma”, as well as songs for Nik & Jay and other pop projects. The 2020s have seen him continue to alternate between personal singles like “Når lygtepælene tændes” and collaborations, including “Børn Af Natten (Hola Bonita)” with Daniel Schulz and Panamah, followed by a new set of songs with Daniel Schulz and Sigvardt collected on the EP “Ny Nostalgi” released in 2025. In addition to his studio work, Ankerstjerne also appeared on television as a member of the X Factor Denmark judging panel in 2019, further extending his role in the Danish pop scene beyond his own releases.
