Soviet Suprem
Soviet Suprem brings together John Lénine (R. Wan de Java) and Sylvester Staline (Toma Feterman of La Caravane Passe) in a project where Soviet aesthetics are used as a playground for a poppy, explosive satire. The duo mixes electro‑Balkan, hip‑hop, punk, popular revelry and nods to propaganda, creating a burlesque, theatrical world where political humour meets the energy of Eastern sound‑systems. From the start they have embodied two fictional leaders leading a dancefloor revolution, combining military costumes, parodic storytelling and unifying choruses. With releases like L’Internationale and Marx Attack and high‑octane live shows, Soviet Suprem has carved out a unique identity in the francophone music scene: an irreverent cocktail in which the party becomes a manifesto.
