Rafael Cerato

A French producer and DJ based between Marseille and international stages, Rafael Cerato has been developing since the early 2010s an aesthetic that sits between melodic techno, progressive house and darker influences. First noticed for a string of club-oriented EPs, Rafael Cerato gradually signed to European electronic labels such as Diynamic, Systematic Recordings, Stil vor Talent and Suara, building a dense discography of maxi singles, singles and remixes. His studio work emphasizes distinct melodic lines, long builds, atmospheric synthetic textures and a rhythmic foundation designed for large sound systems, with tracks that move between techno sets and those of more progressive scenes. Alongside his productions, Rafael Cerato maintains an active DJ career, appearing in numerous clubs and festivals across Europe and regularly extending to other territories. Collaborations, notably with Thomas Gandey, and the creation of his label Ritual allow him to shape a coherent musical identity around a melodic, percussive and narrative club sound, expressed in long-format sets as well as more direct dancefloor-oriented formats.
