Hidden Empire

Under the name Hidden Empire, Branko and Niklas have been developing an electronic project from Germany since the mid-2010s, positioned between melodic techno, house and touches of EBM. Active as a duo, they began circulating a series of early maxi singles from 2015 that established a club-oriented writing style while remaining open to more atmospheric forms, featuring cosmic textures, gradual buildups and a pronounced sense of rhythmic contrast. Their trajectory has been shaped by releases on various international labels and a regular presence in club and festival circuits. Hidden Empire’s sound rests on taut basslines, expansive synthetic motifs and production that alternates between hypnotic passages, more percussive sequences and darker detours. Not confined to a single register, Hidden Empire moves between tracks calibrated for the dancefloor and more immersive compositions in an aesthetic that is direct, dense and dynamic.
