Paerish

Born in Paris at the start of the 2010s, Paerish evolves in a register that blends alternative rock, emo, soft grunge and shoegaze touches, with dense guitars, clear melodies and a writing oriented toward the intimate. The band forms around Mathias Court, Martin Dupraz and Julien Louvion, before later adopting a four-piece configuration with Frédéric Wah and then Loïc Fouquet on drums. After the first tracks published in 2015, Paerish released a debut album, Semi Finalists, in 2016, which lays the foundations of a sound that is at once melodic and tense, in the vein of indie rock of the 1990s and 2000s. Between 2016 and 2018, Paerish tours Europe and shares the bill with Silversun Pickups, Sum 41, Movements or Moose Blood. Signed then to SideOneDummy, the band records with producer Will Yip and releases Fixed It All in 2021, a darker and heavier album in its textures. Paerish continues this evolution on You’re In Both Dreams (And You’re Scared), released in 2023, where the band refines a balance between saturation, melodic sense and emotional tension.
