Regal

Under the name Regal, this Spanish producer and DJ—active since the early 2010s—has developed a direct, upfront techno where warehouse-like tension, acid motifs and a rave heritage intersect. Regal first established himself with a series of club-oriented EPs and remixes, before broadening his palette to more melodic productions while retaining a dense, physical aesthetic. His trajectory also includes label work with Involve Records and later Backspin Records, two outlets that extend his vision of direct, dancefloor-focused techno. Over the years Regal has released on labels such as Figure, BPitch and Exhale, and his name has circulated alongside artists like Len Faki, Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz and Ellen Allien through collaborations, remixes and catalogue exchanges. In parallel he has performed at clubs and festivals on the international techno circuit—from Berghain to Fabrik, as well as Awakenings and Tomorrowland. Under the alias ACIDBOY, Regal explores a parallel strand more centred on acid textures and a more hybrid approach to rhythm.
