Peder Mannerfelt

Swedish producer, composer and DJ Peder Mannerfelt has been developing electronic music since the 2000s that sits between techno, industrial, noise and experimentation. His trajectory was first shaped by the duo Roll The Dice, formed with Malcolm Pardon, and by the alias The Subliminal Kid, before he began releasing under his own name as a solo project more directly tied to club forms. In Mannerfelt’s work, repetitive rhythms and a techno pulse coexist with rough textures, sonic tensions and often oblique constructions, without sacrificing a certain physical impact. Alongside his own releases, Mannerfelt works as a producer and arranger — notably with Fever Ray — and collaborates with other artists from the independent and electronic scenes. He also appears in the Aasthma project with Pär Grindvik. Through his label Peder Mannerfelt Produktion he issues his own material as well as that of artists operating in the same zone between sonic abstraction and dancefloor use, while his live performances and DJ sets circulate in clubs and at festivals such as Berlin Atonal.
