Audrey Horne

Formed in Bergen, Norway, in the early 2000s, Audrey Horne brings together musicians from the local metal scene—some of whom have played in Enslaved, Gorgoroth and Deride—around a hard rock–oriented project. Named after a character from the TV series Twin Peaks, the band initially produced a dark, post‑grunge sound that sat between alternative rock and melodic metal, heard on their debut No Hay Banda (2005) and Le Fol (2007). With the self-titled album Audrey Horne (2010) the group shifted toward a more direct hard rock approach, driven by highly melodic twin guitars and prominent clean vocals. Youngblood (2013) confirmed this direction with song structures inspired by 1970s and 1980s classic rock; that trend continued on Pure Heavy (2014), Blackout (2018) and Devil’s Bell (2022), where the focus is on catchy choruses, stage-ready riffs and tighter songwriting. Active mainly on the European rock and metal circuits, the band alternates club tours, opening slots for other Scandinavian acts and festival appearances, gradually refining an identity at the crossroads of traditional hard rock and more contemporary metal-derived sensibilities.
