Lisa McHugh
Born in Glasgow to an Irish family, Lisa McHugh belongs to a pop-tinged country style that moves between Scotland, Ireland and the Northern Irish country circuit. In 2010 she settled in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, to launch her project with a band and began touring regularly. Her repertoire mixes modern country, ballads, covers and radio-friendly songs, delivered with a clear, direct vocal approach. Her discography starts with Old Fashioned Girl (2010) and continues with Dreams Come to Life (2012), A Life That’s Good (2014), Wildfire (2015), #Country (2016), Who I Am (2017) and Watch Me (2023); she also released the live album #LisaLive in 2017. Over the course of her career Lisa McHugh has recorded with established figures in Irish country such as Daniel O’Donnell, Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan and Robert Mizzell, while maintaining a distinct anchor in melodic country open to pop. Her activities have also expanded into television with the show On the Road with Lisa and onto the international stage with an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in 2012.
