Cliona Hagan
Born in Ballinderry, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, Cliona Hagan is part of the contemporary Irish country scene, with a repertoire centred on melodic country songs that blend local tradition, country‑pop and covers from the Anglo‑Saxon repertoire. She first came to prominence in 2009 when she reached the final of the television show The All Ireland Talent Show, then studied music at Queen’s University Belfast and at the University of Edinburgh, where she trained in music education. After working as a teacher from 2013 to 2015, she devoted herself full‑time to performing from 2016. Her debut album, Straight To You, was released in 2016, followed by Secret Love (2018), Little Darlin’ (2019) and The Dolly Songbook (2021), a tribute to Dolly Parton. Cliona Hagan has also toured with artists such as Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan and Mike Denver on the country venues and festival circuit in Ireland and Europe, while making numerous appearances on Irish television, notably on The Late Late Show.
