Liquid Soul

Under the name Liquid Soul, Swiss DJ and producer Nicola Capobianco has been developing a career rooted in progressive psytrance since the 1990s. After beginning to DJ in 1993, he quickly moved into production and honed a sound that blends a steady pulse, rounded basslines, psychedelic pads and clear melodies, striking a balance aimed at both clubs and large festival stages. Liquid Soul fits an energetic yet accessible trance aesthetic, less abrasive than some branches of psytrance, with a continual pursuit of fluidity and build. Over the years Liquid Soul has appeared on the main electronic stages devoted to this repertoire, first in Switzerland and then internationally, with sets at events such as Boom, Ozora, Tomorrowland, EDC, Dreamstate, Ultra Music Festival, Ministry of Sound and A State of Trance. The name Liquid Soul remains associated with a psytrance approach that prioritizes rhythmic impact, progression and direct melodic writing.
