Lexy & K-Paul

Active since 1999, Lexy & K‑Paul bring together Alexander Gerlach, born in Dresden, and Kai Michael Paul, based in Berlin, as a duo that emerged from the late‑1990s German electronic scene. Based in Berlin, Lexy & K‑Paul first developed on the Low Spirit label, with music that blends techno, electro, house and touches of trance into a direct format conceived for the club but often structured like electronic pop songs. The duo drew attention around 2000 with tracks such as The Greatest DJ, Electric Kingdom and Freak, and with the album Loud (2000), followed by East End Boys (2003). After this initial period Lexy & K‑Paul launched their own label, MusicIsMusic, in 2007 and continued their discography with Trash Like Us (2007), Abrakadabra (2009), Psycho (2011) and Attacke (2013). Their career remains tied to Berlin’s club culture, marked by a taste for crisp rhythms, synthetic hooks and songwriting that alternates dancefloor energy with more vocal‑led formats. Lexy & K‑Paul have also developed side projects, notably Die Raketen for Lexy.
