Just Emma

Behind Just Emma, Alex and Saskia are developing a duo project within the field of melodic electronic music, at the crossroads of deep techno, dark house and more dreamlike atmospheres. Just Emma’s trajectory was built around the club scene and a production practice that began after each artist’s initial musical experiences: Saskia comes from a piano background learned in childhood, while Alex previously explored electronic sounds through his solo project Minimal Lounge. Over the years, Just Emma has released tracks on labels such as Katermukke, Hanse Hertz, Plötzlich Music and Connaisseur Recordings, while also creating their own release platform with Underyourskin Records. Their sound is based on driving rhythms, rich textures and a melodic approach that retains a sense of play without sacrificing density. In both their DJ sets and productions, Alex and Saskia favour slow progressions, floating atmospheres and selections suited to the late-night and early-morning hours—moments where their writing becomes fully immersive.
