Ignez
Ignez develops a techno approach shaped by her native environment — the coast, the dunes and the sea horizon — elements often linked to the immersive quality of her music. Her work belongs to hypnotic, taut, and cerebral techno, built on repetition, the depth of textures and a precise progression rather than on immediate impact. Ignez first asserted this aesthetic through Somov Records, her own label, which frames part of her output and supports a coherent artistic vision. Over the course of her career she has also released on respected contemporary techno outlets such as Token and SK_eleven, placing her within a European network attentive to the most atmospheric and pared-back forms of the genre. Among her collaborations, her work with Rødhåd stands out: two joint EPs that extend this search for dense, restrained and evolving techno. Between rhythmic tension, abstraction and a sense of space, Ignez thus carves out a steady path in techno scenes oriented as much to listening as to the club.
