Jett Rebel

Born in 1991 in Utrecht, Dutch musician Jett Rebel, real name Jelte Steven Tuinstra, has since the early 2010s developed a body of work centered on pop and rock with notable forays into funk, soul and a psychedelic aesthetic inspired by the 1960s and 70s. Active on the Dutch scene, he drew attention with early EPs that showcased his multi‑instrumentalist status and his tendency to record and arrange his own material, employing a very melodic songwriting approach. Across albums released throughout the 2010s, he expanded his palette from straightforward pop toward longer, more experimental structures while retaining a strong grounding in songcraft. On stage he alternates between electric full‑band concerts and more stripped‑down formats, allowing him to move between clubs, theatres and major Dutch festivals. Jett Rebel’s discography thus serves as a playground where pop ballads, rougher rock numbers and groove‑driven tracks meet, reflecting a wide musical culture and continuous work on sound and arrangements.
