Kyle Eastwood

Born in Los Angeles in 1968, Kyle Eastwood has built since the early 1990s a career as a bassist, double-bassist and composer bridging the American and European jazz scenes. After starting out as a session musician in New York and California and forming his own quartet, he released From There to Here in 1998. Often leading quartet or quintet formations, he has developed a style that blends acoustic and contemporary jazz with swing, blues and soul, marked by a taste for melodic themes and narrative atmospheres. His discography includes Paris Blue (2004), Now (2006), Metropolitain (2009), Songs from the Chateau (2011), The View from Here (2013), Time Pieces (2015), In Transit (2017), Cinematic (2019) and Eastwood Symphonic (2023). At the same time, Kyle Eastwood has maintained regular work for film, composing or co-writing—often with Michael Stevens—the music for several Clint Eastwood films, including Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino, Invictus and J. Edgar.
