Funkerman

Born in Breda, the Netherlands, under the name Ardie van Beek, Funkerman has since the early 2000s developed a career focused on house, between deep house, tech house and club productions in a more direct format. His trajectory initially builds on a series of maxis and collaborations, before gaining visibility with tracks such as The One in 2005, Wheels in Motion in 2007 under the alias F to the F with Fedde Le Grand, then Speed Up, a track that circulated widely on European house scenes. Funkerman regularly works in a rhythmic register, driven by clear basslines, vocal samples and writing designed for the dancefloor while not straying from a classic house aesthetic. Alongside his solo releases, Funkerman signs numerous remixes and collaborates with artists such as Fedde Le Grand, Shermanology, Mitch Crown, Ida Corr or Hardwell. He also co-directs the Flamingo Recordings label with Raf Jansen and Fedde Le Grand, then launches Can You Feel It Records. His album House for All appears in 2010. Active as a DJ, producer and remixer, Funkerman remains associated with the Dutch house scene and its international extensions, between clubs, festivals and specialized labels.
