Jack Garratt

Born in 1991 in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, England, Jack Garratt began writing and recording at a young age, releasing his first self-produced record, "Nickel and Dime", in 2009 in an acoustic folk style. From 2014, the EPs "Remnants" and "Synthesiac" marked a turn toward a more electronic sound and established him on the London scene, playing small venues and opening for established British artists. His first official album, "Phase", was released in 2016 and solidified the blend of rhythm-driven pop, modern soul and electronic production that defines Jack Garratt; that year he also enjoyed increased media attention in the UK and an international tour. After a period of withdrawal, he returned in 2020 with "Love, Death & Dancing", an album more directly focused on the tension between dance pulses, introspective songwriting and soul harmonies, which he then presented on stage in a solo format largely based on live layering of the different elements of his songs.
