Fred V

Under the name Fred V, British producer and DJ Fred Vahrman first made his mark as part of Fred V & Grafix, a duo formed in Exeter in southwest England and associated with the British drum and bass scene of the early 2010s. Signed to Hospital Records, Fred V developed with Grafix a liquid drum and bass approach focused on melody, vocals and clean productions, with albums such as Recognise (2014), Oxygen (2016) and Cinematic Party Music (2019), before the duo split. As a solo artist, Fred V extended this foundation while opening it up to a broader electronic palette, spanning melodic drum and bass, light house and pop songwriting. His album Radiate, released in 2020, marked this move toward a more personal format, where club tempos coexist with more sung and atmospheric tracks. Since then Fred V has continued to move between DJ sets and productions characterized by a pronounced taste for clear harmonies, song structures and an aesthetic derived from British liquid.
