Haley Reinhart
Born in Wheeling, Illinois, Haley Reinhart grew up in the Chicago suburbs in a family of musicians and developed an early taste for soul, rock, blues and jazz. Trained in school ensembles and at Harper College, she also sang in jazz contexts before gaining wider recognition in 2011 on season 10 of American Idol, where her blend of rock power, soulful phrasing and jazz inflections set her apart. Her solo discography thereafter includes Listen Up! (2012), Better (2016), What's That Sound? (2017), Lo‑Fi Soul (2019) and the EP Off the Ground (2022). From record to record, Haley Reinhart alternates between original compositions, retro pop, neo‑soul, mellow funk and reinterpretations of standards or songs from the 1960s repertoire. In 2015 she broadened her audience further through Postmodern Jukebox, notably with a vintage jazz cover of “Creep”, and went on to tour North America, Europe and Australia. She has also collaborated with Jeff Goldblum on The Capitol Studios Sessions (2018) and with the electronic duo Vicetone on “Something Strange” the same year, while concurrently doing voice acting for the series F Is for Family.
