Guerilla Poubelle

Born in the early 2000s on the Paris punk scene, Guerilla Poubelle continues the legacy of Les Betteraves around singer‑guitarist Till Lemoine. Based in France but frequently touring across Europe and North America, Guerilla Poubelle typically performs as a guitar‑bass‑drums trio and plays fast, melodic, direct punk rock sung in French, blending hardcore urgency, a pop‑punk heritage and indie influences. The lyrics, largely written by Till, address political disillusionment, social critique and existential questioning, often referencing philosophy and literature. The band released its first album Il faut repeindre le monde… en noir in 2005 and went on to issue several EPs, splits and albums, including Amor Fati (2017) and Là où les idées vertes incolores dorment furieusement (2020), while remaining linked to the self‑managed outfit Guerilla Asso. Active across a network of independent venues, squats and small festivals, Guerilla Poubelle advocates a DIY approach to punk, a modest economic model and close ties with local scenes.
