Get Well Soon

Launched in Germany in the mid-2000s around the musician, composer and singer Konstantin Gropper, born in Biberach an der Riß and trained between classical practice and rock culture, Get Well Soon began primarily as a studio project before taking shape as a live band. His music crosses indie rock, folk rock, orchestral pop and score-writing, with expansive arrangements, a strong taste for cinematic atmospheres and a regular emphasis on strings, piano and contrasts between intimacy and grandeur. After several EPs released between 2005 and 2008, Get Well Soon released the album Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon in 2008, followed by Vexations in 2010, recorded with a band. The project then develops a lasting link with image and narration, notably through the Xanadu series soundtrack in 2011, before The Scarlet Beast O’ Seven Heads in 2012. In 2014, Get Well Soon releases three distinct EPs, then continues with Love in 2016, The Horror in 2018 and Amen in 2022. On stage, Get Well Soon moves between a chamber-rock format and broader orchestration, with appearances at European festivals and collaborations with classical ensembles, while keeping Konstantin Gropper's highly structured writing at the heart.
