Bracia Figo Fagot

Formed in Warsaw in 2010 by Bartosz Walaszek and Piotr Połać, Bracia Figo Fagot developed a parodic and urban take on Polish disco polo, fueled by black humor, deliberately outrageous lyrics, and an imagination drawn as much from popular culture as from television satire. The project was born in the wake of the comedy series Kaliber 200 volt, for which the duo created fake video clips and songs that eventually exist outside the screen, before a real on-stage appearance at the Zacieralia festival in Warsaw in 2011. Bracia Figo Fagot subsequently released several albums on S.P. Records, including Na bogatości (2012), Eleganckie chłopaki (2013), Discochłosta (2014), Disco polo (2016), Bez popity i bez gumy (2019) and Miliony internautów mogą się mylić (2020). Their music preserves direct structures, catchy refrains and the keyboards typical of disco polo, while pushing them toward a more absurd, more theatrical and often more abrasive aesthetic. Over the years, Bracia Figo Fagot has moved between the alternative scene, atypical festivals and a broader audience, with occasional collaborations such as Czesław Mozil or Popek. In 2024, the duo joined Warner Music Poland and began a new phase with the singles Małpka bananowa and Chlaj kochana chlaj.
