MiG
Born in Meulan‑en‑Yvelines in 2002 and raised in Sainte‑Geneviève‑des‑Bois in Essonne, Mig belongs to the rising generation of French rap that emerged in the late 2010s. Of Congolese origin, he has developed since 2019 a style centered on trap and drill, featuring direct writing, dark atmospheres and stories rooted in neighbourhood life. His first tracks circulated online, and freestyles released during the lockdowns as well as the 2020 single “Barbara Kean” broadened his audience. In 2021 Mig released the EP 02 Géné, linked to the collective of the same name, with guests such as ISK, Koba LaD and DA Uzi, and that year he appeared on the show Rentre dans le Cercle and on the collective project Classico organisé. He followed with the albums Toujours + in 2022, 21 in 2023 and Tout ou rien in 2025, featuring numerous collaborations in French rap including Heuss l’Enfoiré, Tiakola, Leto, ZKR, Niska, Maes, Naza, RK, La Fouine, DA Uzi and Timal. Across these releases, Mig maintains a compact musical line—between drill tension, trap inflections and more narrative tracks.
