Anchored in Clamart in the Hauts-de-Seine, HLD develops a rap style directly rooted in the "92" neighborhoods, initially under the name H La Drogue before shortening his stage name. He began to gain attention in the early 2020s with the online freestyle series "SEKLENLAND", circulated on social networks and picked up by specialist media, which established an universe focused on life in the housing estates, the parallel economy and neighborhood relations. His style is a dark street rap nourished by trap and drill, with a tight flow, a distinctly deep voice and rather stripped-down productions where a few melodic motifs support a direct, unadorned narrative. Close to the new wave from Hauts-de-Seine, he operates in an artistic environment alongside rappers such as SDM or 1PLIKÉ 140, sharing the same attention to everyday details and local dynamics. The project’s activity is structured around the 100SZ label, developed with Argentic Music, a framework that allows him to string together singles and freestyles, consolidate his presence on platforms and gradually expand his network of collaborations and stages across the Paris region.
