From Seine-et-Marne, ISK positions himself within contemporary French rap with direct writing rooted in street narratives and an aesthetic that mixes trap, dark rap and more melodic hooks. He began to attract attention very early with the Acharné freestyle series, launched at 14, and its fourth instalment significantly broadened his audience. ISK then shaped his trajectory with the mixtape Le mal est fait in 2020, followed by the albums Vérité (2021), Racines (2022) and LDLG (L’art de la guerre) (2023). Across these projects he develops a tense rap style driven by compact flows and themes of loyalty, neighbourhood, personal paths and a kind of social lucidity. His path intersects with several names in French rap — including Niro, Alonzo, Timal, Leto and DA Uzi — maintaining a continuity clearly situated between street rap, contemporary formats and the culture of features. More recently, ISK returned with a reinterpretation of Panam All Starz, originally performed by Sniper, in an updated version that reinforces his link to the heritage of French rap while remaining true to the codes of his generation.
