Timar

Born in Alfortville in 2003 and partly raised in Créteil, Timar first approached rap through writing before taking the mic himself, following studies in law and time at the Cours Florent. Active since 2023, he operates within French rap tinged with trap, placing significant emphasis on melodies, sung choruses and dense writing often marked by themes of tension, doubt and personal trajectories. His name initially circulated through a series of singles and gained wider visibility in 2025 with tracks like IA, FDT and Sierra Leone. The same period saw collaborations with ZZ on “4h44” and with La Fouine on “Broken.” Timar then released Requiem in 2025, a debut album that more clearly defines the contours of his aesthetic—between incisive tracks, more introspective passages and a delivery that sits between direct rap and singing. His trajectory fits a new generation of Île-de-France artists who blend personal storytelling, trap codes and a knack for striking phrasing.
