NO CIGAR

Formed in 2019 in New Zealand, NO CIGAR operates in a rock vein with psychedelic hues, driven by melodic guitars and a strong taste for mid‑tempo grooves. The band emerged with the single Tickets To Space at the end of that year, establishing the foundations of NO CIGAR’s world between narrative songwriting and warm arrangements. In 2020 the EP Radical Road sharpened this identity by blending alternative rock, psychedelic touches and a dance‑oriented rhythmic approach, which the band gradually developed live across New Zealand venues and festivals. NO CIGAR then released their debut album Bienvenido in September 2022, a full‑length that consolidates their work around lyrics focused on relationships, travel and snapshots of urban life. Present at events such as Rhythm and Vines and That Weekend, NO CIGAR has thus carved out a place in New Zealand’s independent rock landscape with a repertoire designed for both live performance and intimate listening.
