moi Caprice

Born out of Copenhagen’s independent scene around the turn of the 2000s, moi Caprice belongs to a tradition of melancholic Danish indie pop. The band, built around Michael Møller’s voice and English-language lyrics, developed a songwriting approach where guitars, keyboards and measured rhythms create atmospheric moods. moi Caprice’s early releases circulated through the network of Nordic independent labels and venues, after which the group performed more widely across Europe. The lineup coalesced into a stable core of musicians who favour melodic arrangements, sometimes enriched with strings or electronic elements, serving intimate narratives about relationships, the city and the passage of time. Across several studio albums released during the 2000s, moi Caprice refined a detailed writing style, giving prominence to repetitive motifs, guitar counter-melodies and contrasts between expansive choruses and more restrained verses. Today, the members split their time between the band and various side projects, while maintaining a strong connection to Copenhagen’s indie-pop scene.
