Brian McFadden

Born in Dublin, Brian McFadden rose to fame in the late 1990s as a member of Westlife, the Irish vocal-pop group of which he remained a member until 2004. After this first chapter marked by a highly polished pop writing, he began a solo career in a more personal pop and soft rock register, focused on melodic songs, ballads and Anglo-Saxon pop-writing. Brian McFadden released Irish Son in 2004, followed by Set in Stone in 2008, Wall of Soundz in 2010, where his sound intermittently leaned toward a more contemporary and rhythm-driven pop, before The Irish Connection in 2013, built around covers of Irish songs, and Otis in 2019. Along his career path, Brian McFadden has also worked as a writer or co-writer for other artists and recorded several duets, notably with Delta Goodrem, LeAnn Rimes or Ronan Keating. Having settled for a time in Australia, he moved between British, Irish and Australian pop scenes, while developing a regular television presence. Since 2016, Brian McFadden teams up with Keith Duffy to form the duo Boyzlife, a project that extends the vocal pop heritage of Irish and British groups from the 1990s and 2000s, with the albums Strings Attached in 2020 and Old School in 2022.
