Hicky & Kalo

Based in Montréal, Hicky & Kalo brings together two DJs and producers who studied at the Université de Montréal, where they pursued electronic music after classical training. The duo builds a repertoire between progressive house, melodic house and melodic techno, with tracks founded on slow progressions, atmospheric textures, supple basslines and a pronounced sense of narrative build. Hicky & Kalo first established themselves in Montréal’s club scene, notably through a residency at Stereo Montreal, before taking their music and sets to stages across the Americas, Europe and Oceania. Alongside their production work, they founded the label Plaisirs Sonores Records, a natural extension of an aesthetic focused on the deep, melodic sounds of today’s electronic scene. The duo has released on Watergate Records, Renaissance Recordings, Sudbeat Music, When We Dip Records and Replug Records, and has collaborated with artists such as Hernan Cattaneo. In both their productions and DJ sets, Hicky & Kalo favour a balance of club energy, harmonic finesse and progressive composition.
