daoud
daoud develops a vision of jazz that rejects strict frameworks and draws on a feeling of not fitting in, resulting in music where chaos sits alongside gentleness and irony brushes against sincerity. His work moves under constant tension, driven by a raw and unrestrained imagination. With ok, his 2025 album on ACT, he signs an intimate record built around falling, repetition and the stubbornness required to get going again, consolidating a sonic identity that is at once fragile and incisive. Around his music he crafts a visual world that embraces the flaw, provocation and a return to childhood as a field of exploration rather than a refuge. On stage, accompanied by his band, he plays with rules more than he follows them, navigating between lyrical restraint and dazzling outbursts. The project has imposed itself at benchmark venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival, while daoud simultaneously composes and produces for other artists, pursuing ever more freely and personally his artistic approach.
