Charles Doré
Based in Brittany near Guingamp, Charles Doré first built his path well outside the usual music circuits, with a background focused on the equestrian world and a vocational baccalaureate in the management and operation of equestrian businesses. His name came to national attention during season 12 of Star Academy, broadcast in 2024–2025, which he joined without formal musical training after only limited experience in karaoke and at family or village celebrations. A semi-finalist on the show, Charles Doré subsequently discovered large venues on the collective Zénith tour and with dates at the Accor Arena. His repertoire lies within French variété and vocal pop, characterized by a supple timbre, straightforward melodic lines and a clear taste for the popular song repertoire. The artists he cites — from Daniel Balavoine to Michel Polnareff and Florent Pagny — illuminate an aesthetic devoted to voice-led songs, readable choruses and a direct mode of expression.
