John Splithoff

Born in Chicago, John Splithoff crafts writing at the crossroads of soul, pop and R&B, with an approach that blends smooth melodies, hushed guitars and contemporary production. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he began to attract notice in the mid-2010s with the track 'Sing to You,' an independent single that establishes his universe, between subtle groove, a slightly husky voice and sleek pop formats. Splithoff then built a career marked by initial digital exposure followed by regular live performances, headlining as well at American festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. His repertoire sits within accessible pop-soul, often supported by airy arrangements and a measured tempo, without breaking from a sensibility inherited from American songwriting and rhythm and blues. After several singles and EP releases, John Splithoff released the All In album in 2018, followed by Far From Here in 2024, continuing a line where intimate writing, flowing choruses and modern textures remain central. More recently, Splithoff revisits part of his catalog with stripped-down versions of some tracks, in a format that foregrounds the voice, composition and melodic craft.
