Finn Wolfhard

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Finn Wolfhard has been developing a musical career alongside his work as an actor and director since the late 2010s. His work as a musician first took shape with Calpurnia, a Vancouver rock band in which Finn Wolfhard handled vocals, rhythm guitar and songwriting, until the group split in 2019. This initial phase falls within alternative rock and indie rock, marked by short tracks, straightforward guitars and a direct approach to melody, documented on the EP Scout released in 2018. After Calpurnia, Finn Wolfhard continued with The Aubreys, a project launched with drummer Malcolm Craig and introduced in connection with the soundtrack to The Turning in 2020. The band released the EP Soda & Pie the same year, then the album Karaoke Alone in 2021, in an aesthetic still rooted in nervous, stripped-down indie rock. In 2025 Finn Wolfhard released the album Happy Birthday under his own name, which extends this trajectory between personal songwriting, a compact pop format and North American indie culture.
