Based in the British electronic scene since the late 2000s, Ben Nicky hails from Bristol and has built a career initially focused on trance before expanding his sound to more hybrid formats between techno, hard dance, hardstyle, and vocal EDM. Active as a DJ and producer since 2007, Ben Nicky came to prominence in the early 2010s with 'The One,' recorded with Cass Fox in 2011, followed by a series of remixes and releases that circulated in European trance circles. His aesthetic rests on clear melodic build-ups, rhythms harder than classic trance, and writing designed for both the expansive spaces of festivals and the intimacy of clubs. In 2013, Ben Nicky launched the Head F**k label, associated with his edits and mashups, while gradually expanding his repertoire. He has appeared on stages such as Creamfields or Belsonic, and on reference radio formats with an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 in 2019. Among his verifiable tracks and collaborations are also 'Like Fire' with Mashd N Kutcher in 2019, 'Giving You Up' with Sarah de Warren in 2020, 'Drown You Out' with Rachelle Jenkens in 2020, 'Dance' with Apollo in 2021, and 'Where Were You' with Hayla in 2021.
