Kwn

Hailing from Walthamstow in East London, kwn, born Khyra Leah Wilson, is a British singer, songwriter, rapper and producer of Nigerian and Irish descent. Exposed early to a blend of R&B, pop, garage, house and African music, kwn began uploading her first tracks to SoundCloud as a teenager before honing her artistic vision at East London Arts & Music. Initially active under the name k1, she later adopted the moniker kwn to set herself apart from the drill scene and assert a more hybrid identity. Her writing fuses contemporary R&B, trap influences, soulful vocal harmonies and dark electronic textures, in a format akin to the introspective urban ballad. Noticed by Black Butter Records, kwn released her debut EP Episode Wn in 2022, introduced by the single Wn Way or Another, followed by tracks such as No Cinderella and Five More that gradually established her sonic signature. After leaving the label, the release of Worst Behaviour in 2024, followed by a remix featuring Kehlani and the track Do What I Say, ushered in a new phase of visibility, cemented by the EP With All Due Respect in 2025 via RCA Records and Wnway Limited. On stage, kwn has joined Kehlani on select European dates, while her videos, often shot in a single take, extend the direct and intimate aesthetic of her music.
