Feng

Raised in the neighborhoods of Croydon and later Brixton in south London, rapper and producer Feng has positioned himself in the UK underground rap scene by blending internet references, club energy and pop melodies. Of Asian background and raised in an evangelical environment, Feng worked various odd jobs — including as a pool lifeguard and a video editor — before documenting his production-learning process on YouTube and starting to compose in 2019. His first rapped tracks were released in 2024, with songs like “Damn Phone” and “M.I.A.” that align him with a generation of UK online artists such as Fakemink and YT. Entirely self-produced, Feng’s debut project, “What the Feng”, came out in February 2025 and laid the groundwork for very short-form rap — often around a minute — driven by bright synths, rapid rhythms and a blend of jerk, Scouse rap and indie-pop-meets-hip-hop textures. Feng’s lyrics favor an assertive, motivating tone, mixing hedonism, self-belief and encouragement to own one’s identity. With “Weekend Rockstar”, released in February 2026, Feng continues this 2010s-derived electronic-rap aesthetic while grounding it in everyday London life, and he’s begun exporting his world onstage — including a booked date at Rolling Loud Orlando in 2026.
