Laurie Wright

Originally from the South West Midlands, Laurie Wright embodies the raw spirit of British rock’n’roll. Playing guitar since he was 14, he moved to London at 19 to pursue music full-time and honed his craft as a songwriter; today his catalogue exceeds 300 songs. In 2020 he formed his band and caught attention busking in the streets of Camden. Their performances’ contagious energy soon attracted a loyal following. Their debut album, Get On The End Of It, was released in 2023 and cemented their reputation with tracks like West End Lover, Butter Side Up Boy and Wendy McKenzie, followed by a sold-out show at the Camden Underworld. In 2024 the band stepped up a gear: a sold-out UK tour, high-profile opening slots for The Rifles and The Libertines, and wild shows that confirmed them as a rock revelation. Their second album, We’re Only Warming Up, celebrates the group’s fervour and sincerity, with blazing riffs and anthemic choruses. Their standing was definitively sealed by an incendiary performance at the Scala in Kings Cross, where Laurie Wright and his musicians proved they are only at the start of their ascent.
