The Next Movement

Formed in Switzerland around J.J. Flueck, Sam Siegenthaler, and P. Kaeser, The Next Movement develops a trio format that crosses funk, soul, groove, and hip-hop accents in a tight writing, focused on rhythm and collective efficiency. The band has stood out on the European scene with concerts where instrumental precision, singing, and a very organic approach to groove are at the center of the game. The Next Movement articulates its music around a supple bass, syncopated guitars, a very present drum kit, and voices that circulate among the members, with a marked taste for direct refrains and nerve-like dynamics. Their discography includes notably the Paint Boogaloo album in 2018, followed by The Next Movement in 2020, which confirms a denser and more frontal formula. In 2024, The Next Movement released the EP More Cowbell, composed of three tracks that extend this aesthetic between tense funk, energetic soul, and playful spirit. Driven by a stage identity built over time, The Next Movement is part of a contemporary groove scene that draws on classical references while keeping an up-to-date and compact sound.
